That's right - we've just ordered a Canon 1ds mark ii to add to our rental lineup. As sad as we were to see the 1Ds mark one go, we figured it was time for an upgrade. The camera is due any day now...

After a whole lot of searching, we found a Canon 50d camera, not long after release, to add to our hire department. Boasting high-iso and improved live view, this is sure to be a popular camera to hire.

We have just added our first Nikon Lens, a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR to the hire department. We have had a lot of people asking for Nikon equipment and decided it was time to begin our service to this side of the photographic family.

Our photographic equipment hire service has grown dramatically over the past couple of months. We have added several Canon lenses, cameras and accessories to our supply of equipment.
We have had many enquiries from outside of Sydney, and will now courier equipment Australia-wide.

We have now completed the switchover to a new hosting company and server. Part of this process has involved updating our online security.
We now use SSL (https) for all processes involving private information, including directory registration, member sign-up and contact forms. We have also begun installing the reCaptcha plugin in our form-handling scripts. This verifies the user is a person, and not a computer.
We are very pleased with how the process has gone, and are happy to increase online security for all our users.

AU Photographer has just opened its photography equipment hire section.
